By narrowing the borders, we fit the significantly bigger display in a design with a resolution of 4480 x 2520, it has nearly 11.3 million pixels.

We’ve taken the camera, mics, and speakers in iMac to a whole new level.
Since we’ve all been spending more and more time on video calls, it was important to us to enhance the core technologies that keep us connected. First, let’s talk about the camera. iMac now has a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, which doubles the resolution (from previous 21.5-inch iMac), for much higher quality video. And with a larger sensor that captures more light, the camera performs great in low light.
And the camera is paired with M1, which has Apple’s latest image signal processor, or ISP. This works to further enhance the image quality with computational video.
